Belle Haven is an exclusive enclave in southern Greenwich. Situated on a peninsula along Long Island Sound, the neighborhood is highly desirable because of its proximity to transportation and businesses in downtown Greenwich.
First built as a residential park in the late 19th century, Belle Haven is a private association. Yearly fees go to common spaces including water access points, gardens around the roadways, and common lawn areas. There's also a gatekeeper who monitors the comings and goings of cars driving through the association's privately maintained roads, as well as surveillance videos taken throughout the community.
Homeowners also get automatic initiation into the Belle Haven Club and the bragging rights that come with being one of the 120 families to call Belle Haven home.
